Description:

Voltage: 2V
Capacity: 100Ah to 3000Ah
Designed Service Life: 12-15years (Designed floating service life at 25℃)

Long Life Battery is a general purpose battery with 20 years design life in float service. With heavy duty grids, thicker plates, special additives and updated AGM valve regulated technology, the RL series
battery provides consistent performance and long service life. The new grid design effectively reduces the internal resistance, which provides higher specific energy density and excellent high rate discharge characteristics. It is suitable for communications back-up power and EPS/UPS applications .

FAQ

What is the main difference between VRLA gel and AGM batteries?
A unique glass mat comprised of fine glass fibers is used in AGM batteries. The electrolytes between the battery plates are intended to be absorbed by this. On the other hand, gel batteries use a particular kind of silica gel to hold electrolytes together.

How do you charge a VRLA AGM battery?
When charging a VRLA battery, the CC/CV charging protocol is used. Constant Current/Constant Voltage refers to the two primary charging phases. The battery can be topped out with a trickle charge following these first two stages. Each stage has unique values that are modified based on the battery’s type, capacity, and intended application.

What is the difference between VRLA and lead-acid batteries?
The electrolyte in VRLA batteries is immobilized, which is the primary distinction between them and Flooded Lead Acid batteries, also known as Sealed Lead Acid batteries. This can be accomplished by separating VRLA batteries into the two subtypes of AGM and GEL using Absorbed Glass Mat separators or Gelled Electrolyte.

Is a VRLA battery a flooded battery?
Information in General Regarding VRLA and Flooded Batteries. Whether a lead-acid battery is Flooded (Dry Charged/Flooded MF) or VRLA, while charging it must release oxygen from the positive plate and hydrogen from the negative plate. In the case of VRLA batteries, they are totally shut down.

Do VRLA batteries require ventilation?
Under typical float and equalization charging circumstances, the VRLA battery emits a very tiny amount of gas, hence extra mechanical ventilation is typically not needed. Because hydrogen is lighter than air, it spreads out swiftly across the atmosphere.

What is the difference between VRLA and lithium-ion batteries?
The VRLA batteries are constrained by their design as being only energy cells, in contrast to the Li-ion batteries, which are built as power or energy cells.
